Bonnie L. (Broadbent) Guinn, 84, passed away on June 20, 2013 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, MO. She was born on June 7, 1929, to Ralph Broadbent and Elsie (Givens) Broadbent in Miami, OK. Bonnie moved to Lowry City in 1991 to live near her mother, Elsie Owens and her aunt, Lillian Dodson. The three of them were often seen together shopping, visiting with family, going to camp meeting and other church functions, and just enjoying life together. In fact, they were lovingly referred to as “the Three Musketeers” because they were always together. Bonnie had been an active participant in worship and ministry at the Church of God (Holiness) until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved her church family and enjoyed every opportunity to fellowship with them whether it was singing hymns, visiting in her home, or enjoying church dinners. She had a tender heart and often sought further spiritual help after a close or searching sermon. She loved Jesus dearly and wanted to always live as He would want her to. Three days before her promotion to heaven, she testified to having an up-to-date relationship with Jesus and was ready to meet Him face to face. Preceding her in death were her parents and only brother, Charlie Broadbent, and all of her aunts and uncles except Charley Givens and his wife Barbara of Blue Springs, MO. Uncle Charley was a mainstay in her life after she lost her mother and Aunt Lillian. Survivors include her children; Rev. Steve Edwards who lives with his wife and children in Germany, Nettie Bumgarner of Sherman, TX, Dee Ann Boatman, Amarillo, TX and Loretta Wright and husband, Glen, Pampa, TX; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Revelation 14:13 “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.”
