Bertha Ann Hart of Osceola, MO was born on June 16, 1941, in Kansas City, KS to Clyde and Annabel Skaggs. She was called to eternal rest at the age of 80 on November 30, 2021, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Bertha grew up in Turner, KS and was a graduate of Turner High School. In 1959 she was united in marriage to Thomas Hart. This union was blessed with 3 children. She loved taking care of and cooking for her family. She was especially known for her Friday night Mexican dinner, when anyone could show up for tacos, burritos, and enchiladas.
The family spent years camping and fishing and after their kids were grown Tom and Bertha made many happy memories traveling on their motorcycle through Arkansas and the Colorado mountains, most often with friends and family.
From 1977 to 1991 Bertha worked for the Turner School district as a cook, where she found great joy being around the kids. In 1996 she and Tom retired to Osceola, MO to the home they built.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jeanette Ouderkirk.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Thomas Hart, daughter Deborah Sauceda, sons Thomas Hart, Jr. and Daniel Hart, sister Nancy Davis, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many other family members.
