Hartley, Hallie Dee February 25, 1906 - October 29, 2009

Hallie Dee Hartley was born February 25, 1906 in Osceola, Missouri to Sumner Dingly and Bertha Alice (Frazier) Fulton. She passed away October 29, 2009 at Truman Lake Manor, Lowry City, MO.

In May of 1924 Hallie was united in marriage to Opal Clayton Hartley. To this union two sons were born, Billy and J Allan.

Hallie worked for her parents at the Osceola Bus Station before marrying Opal. After her marriage she traveled with the Hartley family as they worked in the band for the circus. After returning to Osceola, Hallie worked at Jackson Variety and for her brother and sister in-law, Jim and Dorothy Fulton at the bus station. Hallie also worked for Mae Robinson at the Commercial Hotel restaurant. She lived with son, Billy and worked in Kansas City at the Trail House Buffet on the Country Club Plaza for six years. Returning to Osceola in 1967, Hallie worked at the Osceola school cafeteria for 15 years before retiring.

Hallie was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Osceola, MO. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and family dinners.

Hallie was preceded in death by her husband Opal, sister, Lucy Springstube, brother, Jim Fulton and one grandson, Billy Lee Hartley.

She is survived by her two sons, Bill and his friend, Barbara, Harrisonville, MO; J and wife, Irene, Osceola, MO, eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
