John Wesley Hill was born May 20, 1931 to David and Ozell (Massey) Hill. He was called home to be with our Lord May 22, 2020 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri.
He was raised and educated in the Ozarks.
John joined the United States Air Force and became a Master Sergeant. He was a Training Technician and received many awards for his training skills. John served his country for over 22 years. While serving he did two tours in Japan, a tour in Canada and a tour in Germany. He finished the rest of his service in the United States and retired in 1973.
John had his own insurance company in Lompoc, California. He retired from that and moved to Roseville, California to enjoy farm life. John had always wanted to return to Missouri and he fulfilled that dream in the 90’s.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many years of serving as a Mason, Shriner and DeMolay.
John married Noe Hirayamain in Tokyo, Japan. They had 3 children, Lemuel Hill, Samuel Hill and Julie Vatcher. He had 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. When he came back to Missouri he was married to Peggy, who passed away. John met and married Mary Inman, gaining her family. Mary had 6 children, Ira Inman, Ricky Inman, Sandra Mumford, John Inman, Darcy Johnson and Tracy Miles adding 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren
He is survived by his wife, Mary; 3 children, 4 of Mary’s children along with many other family members and friends. John will be missed by all who knew him.
