Linda Jean Hodgkins, born on June 15th, 1942, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, to Ronald H. Chapin and Ruth A. Chapin, peacefully passed away in Stockton, Missouri on August 7th, 2024. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother whose memory will be forever treasured by her family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Owen Hodgkins; her dear daughter, Heather Hodgkins; and her sister, Nancy Yovino. She is survived by her sons, Cameron Hodgkins and Ryan Hodgkins, her grandchildren, Chloe Hodgkins, Gage Gonzalez, Caleb Gonzalez, Arianna Gonzalez and Isabella Gonzalez.
Linda’s professional journey was marked by her remarkable determination and hard work. Starting as a secretary at a psychiatrist’s office in 1983, she rose through the ranks to become the CEO of Laurelwood Hospital and later retired as the CEO of Kingwood Pines Hospital. Her accomplishments are a testament to her unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership, especially notable as she achieved these feats without formal college education.
Beyond her career, Linda had a passion for gardening, decorating, and golfing, which she enjoyed sharing with her husband. Her love for life and resilience were evident in everything she did, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Linda Jean Hodgkins will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, hard work, and perseverance will continue to inspire us all.
