Hyde, Mary S. June 14, 1920 - July 13, 2015

Mary Salina Hyde, wife of the late Reverend Clarence A. Hyde, of Osceola, Missouri, aged 95, passed away peacefully Monday, July 13, 2015 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born June 14, 1920 in the community of Ozark, Arkansas to the late Christopher Herman and Jennie B. (Cobb) Schade. Mary was an only child. Mary was previously married to Hoyt F. Faught in Ozark, Arkansas. They had one child, a daughter, Shirley K. Faught. On August 9, 1960, Mary was united in marriage to Clarence Hyde and moved to Clinton, Missouri. There, she was employed by the Kemper family as Store Manager of Kiel’s Jewelry Store. Years later after moving to Osceola, Missouri she was a “Gray Lady” volunteer at the Sac-Osage Hospital for several years. Faithfully alongside her husband during their 54 year marriage, they pastored ten churches throughout six counties in Missouri. Mary loved children and spent most of her adult life teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, an infant great-granddaughter and Hoyt Faught of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is survived by her daughter Shirley (Faught) Veldhouse and Jerry of Raytown, Missouri; 2 grandsons, James Beebe of Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Jason Beebe of Raytown, Missouri; 4 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; 2 stepsons, Clarence A. Hyde Jr. and Janet of Grain Valley, Missouri and Jerry Lee Hyde and Connie of Glenwood, Arkansas; 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
