Ronald Roy Jones, 88, passed away in his home with family members by his side Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  He was born May 21, 1932 in Dodge City, Kansas to Glen and Aletha Jones.

He met the love of his life, Wanda Carol Thomas in the summer of 1953 when he was attending Cleveland Chiropractic College in Wichita, Kansas.  They were married February 16, 1954.  They were blessed with three children: Kelvin Ray, Ronda Kay and Richard Alan.

Ronald was baptized as a child.  His faith continued to follow him throughout his life believing strongly in the ABC’s of salvation: A– Admit that you have sinned, B– Believe that Jesus died for your sins and C-Confess that Jesus is Lord.

He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1950.  Ronald then went on to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College.  He was drafted and served in the Army as a Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and drove the jeeps for the commanding officers.  He was stationed in Fort Benning, GA, Fort Knox, KY and later to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania where he received his honorable discharge.  After serving in the Army he moved to Kansas City, MO where he worked as a hod carrier and later as a brick layer.  In the late 1960’s he moved his family to Osceola where he eventually retired.  After retirement life consisted of farming and grandkids.

Ronald was devoted to his family.  He was the glue that held the family together with a caring nature and unconditional love.  He often enjoyed visiting, telling stories, playing cards and eating homemade ice cream, those are memories we will cherish.  He also enjoyed tinkering with vintage cars, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping and in his younger years playing guitar.  He always loved to tell stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Glenda Taylor.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Jones; son, Kelvin Jones and wife Sally; daughter Ronda Seboldt and husband Tim; son, Richard Jones and wife Kim; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Beemer, many nieces, nephews and several friends.
