Kilgore, Buford Flay August 19, 1939 - September 26, 2012

Buford Flay Kilgore was born August 19,1939 in Appleton City, Missouri to William Francis and Neva (Snyder) Kilgore. He passed away September 26, 2012 in Neosho, Missouri. Buford was raised in Lowry City, Missouri by his grandparents, Viola and Flay Snyder until the eighth grade. He moved with his parents to the Kansas City area and graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1959. Buford worked as a Pipefitter for Local 314 in Kansas City. He honorably served in the US Army in the 42nd Engr Co. in Berlin from January 1962 to December 1963. Buford enjoyed hunting and riding horses. He was baptized on August 26, 2012. In 1974 he was united in marriage to Toni Reickard. They later divorced. There was one child Kimberly Anne Kilgore from this marriage. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Flay and Viola Snyder, parents, William and Neva Kilgore, one brother, Tony (Purch) and wife, Lou Kilgore; one stepdaughter, Caprice Stark, one uncle, Johnnie Snyder, two aunts and uncles, Lena and Ade Meacham, Lois and Richard Caven and one cousin, Johnnie Steven Snyder. Buford is survived by one daughter Kimberly Rhodes and husband Robert, three grandsons, Stephan Flay Jakovljevic, Tristin Rhodes, Trey Rhodes, all of Neosho, Missouri, ex-wife, Toni , one stepdaughter, two stepsons and all of their children and grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew and all of their children and grandchildren, one aunt, Kathryn Snyder and numerous cousins and other loving relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
