Margaret Ann Kottwitz was born September 8, 1934, in Ethridge Tennessee to Beulah and Daniel Miller. She passed away January 10, 2024 peacefully at her home with family by her side. She grew up working on the farm with her 3 siblings where they grew cotton and tobacco.
On May 1, 1950, she married George Chester Kottwitz. After marriage they moved to Roscoe, Missouri where they purchased their farm and went on to raise 7 children: Patsy Meyer, Sharon Raymond (Dennis), Wanda Curtis, Anthony Kottwitz (Sandy), Jerry Kottwitz, Larry Kottwitz, and Georgina Romans (Sam Bullock). Her family grew to include 17 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
After the passing of her husband George on April 9, 1978, Margaret continued to run the farm at the young age of 43. She always loved checking her cows and working in the garden. Her door was always open for anyone who wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee with her. She was able to remain on the farm up until she was called home to Heaven.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents Beulah and Daniel, her sisters: Sarah Kottwitz and Delores Hancock, her brother Junior Miller, her son Anthony Kottwitz, and her grandchildren: Deidre and Tyler Raymond, and Timothy Curtis.
She was loved and will be greatly missed.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Judes or Woollam Zoar Cemetery in care of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
