La Rue, Sharon L. December 20, 1951 - January 8, 2014

Sharon Lucille LaRue was born December 20th on a day like no other. She was a woman that never let adversity change her as she changed the world. Her legacy of love embraced everyone she touched and continued after her death on January 8th, 2014 as an organ and tissue donor. She was an angel on earth. After living in foster care most of her childhood, as a teenager she was adopted by Edna and Lawrence Wisner and then graduated from Osceola High School. Following graduation she married William ‘Bill’ Emery Sharp and had 2 wonderful children, Tracy Ann Sharp and William “Willy” Emery Sharp II. Although that marriage did not last, she met her soul mate John Daniel “Dan” LaRue and married him in 1987 until her death. Including each other, they also cherished their many animals on their farm. Sharon and Dan traveled with the US Navy and lived in California, Mississippi, and Hawaii but always came back to Missouri where her heart was as she was born in St Louis, Missouri. Throughout her life she had jobs that she would turn into adventures and tasks into projects. She worked for several companies including Rival, Thompson Press, and Wal-Mart as they moved around and could always seem to find work to be done. There was a connection that Sharon would foster that made people smile wherever she would go. She never met a stranger. She would tinker with just about anything from tiling, carpentry, sewing, quilting, Facebook, sketching, riding motorcycles, fishing, puzzles, Sudoku, reading books, building decks, trading cars, FarmVille, Starbucks and buying sneakers were a passion. Perfection wasn’t necessarily the goal but the imperfections gave us all something to talk about. There was no project out of reach. Sharon was working full time at Wal-Mart in Clinton and dedicated herself to her work. What was going to be just a part time job ended up being her full time final adventure. She loved life and loved The Lord and had such a giving spirit. She is survived by her husband of the home, Dan LaRue of Tightwad, MO, her mother Edna Wisner of El Dorado, MO, her daughter Tracy Sharp-Robertson and her husband Frederick Robertson of Five Forks, SC, grandson Timothy William-Lucas Logar, Sheffield Village, Ohio., brother Robert Wisner and his wife Mary of El Dorado, MO, sister Lena Kay and her husband of Idaho and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Willy Sharp, and her father, Lawrence Wisner.
