Joanne Margaret Ladd was born December 19, 1938 in Anson, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Margaret (Reed) Marcia. Se passed away July 30, 2016 in Lowry City, Missouri.
In 1958 she married Thomas Ladd, whom she met while he was serving in the United States Navy. Together they owned and operated a poultry farm in Maine, but most of their married life was spent in Virginia where he was employed at Newport News Ship Building. Joanne was a homemaker and caregiver for her mother for many years. When her husband retired they moved to Missouri to be close to his family. Joanne was a member of the Osceola First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son Jonathan Ladd and a brother, David Marcia.
Joanne is survived by a son, Stephen Ladd and his wife Dana; a daughter, Andrea Chapman and her husband, Allen; a daughter-in-law Catherine Ladd; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
