Roy A. “Bud” Langford, 93 of Kansas City, MO, passed away June 22, 2016. Bud was born in Sapulpa, OK on May 8, 1923 to John C. Langford and Ruby L. Pratt Langford, who preceded him in death, along with a sister, Ruby Imogene Vanderford.
Bud completed 70 missions in WWII as a B-25 radio operator and waist gunner in the 12th Army Air Force.
He retired from the Ford Motor Co. Claycomo Plant, after 23 years (1959-83).
Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, Golf, and woodworking and bird-watching. He built and placed more than 100 blue bird houses at Lake Jacomo and Blue Springs Lake, and many others across the country.
He is survived by the love of his life, Eleanor J. (Thomas) Langford, whom he married June 12, 1944 They had two children who survive him; Linda (John) Rockeman and John (Teresa Boyd) Langford, along with five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Langford of Monett, MO. and many more much-loved family and friends.
