Alice Lavern Larsen was born March 8, 1926 to Willie and Maude Marshall. She passed away March 2, 2013 at Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola, Missouri. Alice was united in marriage to Elvin Dines, to this union 3 children were born; David, Jim and Connie. Later she was married to Billy Allen and they had one son, Michael. On June 10, 1967 Alice was married to Ralph Larsen, shortly after, Michael was adopted by Ralph. Alice and Ralph were married for over 45 years. She had 2 brothers, Alva and Elvin; 4 sisters, Cecil, Mildred, Gertie Lee and Erma; three step-sisters Lela Thomas, Pat Buckner and Doris Murphey. Alice enjoyed crocheting, fishing, playing bingo and being with family. Alice graduated from Roscoe High School and attended college at Nevada, Missouri. In addition to being a housewife, she taught at a country school, worked at both the shoe and shirt factory at El Dorado Springs, Osceola Medical Hospital, Sac-Osage Hospital and the Bus Station café. She is survived by her 3 step-sisters, her children, David Dines of Osceola, Missouri, Jim Dines of Osceola, Missouri, Connie Coleman of Osceola, Missouri and Michael Larsen of Tucson, Arizona; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
