William Michael (Mike) LeAn of Eldorado Springs, Missouri was born in Weaubleau, Missouri on May 4,1966 to William (Bill) Joseph LeAn and Betty Jo (Barger)Fellers. He was called home by his heavenly father on May 1, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri.
He was raised and graduated high school in Weaubleau, Missouri. He lived and worked in the surrounding areas most of his life. Mike was united in marriage to Lana Rene Ollis on July 13, 2002. Together they raised five children: Megan, Michael, Morgan, Joseph and Cody. Mike was a loving dad and papa. His heart swelled with pride for his children and grandchildren. Mike’s grandkids Alexis, Ren, and Weston brought him much joy and happiness.
Mike was a jack of all trades. When anyone asked for help he never said No. He did his best to help anyone in need. If you needed something fixed he could fix it. If you needed something built he could build it. When you needed your car worked on, Mike was your man. He enjoyed building houses and mechanic work the most.
For fun Mike enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, watching the local races, watching Nascar on TV, and baking. In his last few years he developed a passion for gardening, making sure his family always had plenty of canned tomatoes.
In 2012, him and his family moved to Eldorado Springs, Missouri. He joined the First Christian Church becoming an active member. Whether it was catching fish for the annual fish fry, driving the youth to various activities or helping putting the finishing touches on the church’s new addition, he did so with a kind and loving heart. His favorite thing was being a cook every summer for the kids at church camp. He volunteered his love and time to the camp until his health would not allow it.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Bill LeAn; grandpa, Walter Barger; grandma, Mary Barger; his grandma, Josephine Hudy and his step father, Leon Fellers
Mike is survived by his wife Lana; five children, Megan and husband Brendon, Michael and wife Breanne, Morgan and husband Anthony, Joseph and wife Jessica and Cody of the home; three grandkids, Alexis, Ren and Weston; mother Betty; brother, Kelley; sisters, Kim, Sherri and Jo Dee; grandpa, Roland LeAn and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
