Wilma Jean Manbeck (Spurgeon) was born on January 5, 1931, to William and Laura Spurgeon in Deepwater Missouri. She passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Aspire of Oak Grove Nursing Home at the age of 94.
She was a graduate of Laurie City High School and after graduation worked in Kansas City at various jobs. Wilma married Glen Manbeck and later divorced. She raised her family in Kansas City and resided there until her final years when she located to Oak Grove, Missouri
Wilma was a nature lover. Taking hikes in the woods with her girls, mushroom hunting, watching for wildlife. She loved to go fishing, loved to spend time at the lake. She loved to talk about her years growing up, living in the country and loved exposing her girls to the things she loved about that. She also liked to dance and play bingo and dominos.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers Harlen, Roy, Bob, John, Tom and Jerry. Also three sisters; Goldie, Audria and Betty.
Wilma is survived by a sister Joyce Moles, her three daughters Deborah Carrasco, Paula Mills and husband Mike, Valerie Carollo and husband Nino. Six grandchildren; Damon Carrasco and his wife Michelle, Janna Carrasco, Jeremy Kuepper and his wife Brandie, Ryan Kuepper and his wife Elaine, Natalie Parlette and her husband Jared, and Michael Carollo. Fifteen great grandchildren; Justin Hofer, Lucas Carrasco, Dawson Carrasco, Anna Carrasco, Olivia Carrasco, Haley Kuepper, Lacey Kuepper, Laurie Mae Kuepper, CJ Kuepper, Jonas Kuepper, James Kuepper, Jack Kuepper and Gretta Kuepper, Mason Bailey and Maddie Parlette. Two great-great grandchildren; Wesley Carrasco and Oakland Davis.
