Robert H. McKee, age 82 of Garden City, Mo passed away Sunday, May 3rd, 2020 at Research Hospital in K.C., Mo. Robert was born March 27th, 1938 in Fairbury, Nebraska, a son to the late Robert F. and Christena( Schrader) McKee. Robert moved at the age of three with his family to Herington, Kansas, as his father worked for the Rock Island Railroad. Robert attended Catholic grade school and public high school in Herington, Kansas. He graduated high school in Herington, KS in May 1956. Upon. graduating from high school, Robert entered the United States Navy and faithfully served his country for four years (May 1956- May 1960). On June 20th, 1964, he was United in marriage to Barbara Wilcox Lewis. She survives of the home. Robert worked in the state of New Mexico with Morris Code and telegraph machines. He was employed by Western Electric in Lee’s Summit, Mo. On April 26th, 1968, Robert became gainfully employed with Armco Steel Corp. I. Northeast K.C., MO. He was employed w/ Armco for the next thirty years. He retired in May, 1998. In addition to his spouse of 55 yrs.,Robert is survived by: one daughter, Margaret Meyer of Jefferson City, MO and step-daughter, Elizabeth Lewis of Belton, MO as well as many nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws and many friends. Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, his mother and father- in-law, his only brother( Joseph E. McKee) in November, 2014, his only son-in-law, John F. Meyer II on September 30th, 2019 as well as three brother- in-laws

Sorry that I cannot attend the service, I have not been out where there are many gathered. The kids have been doing my grocery shopping for approx. 6 weeks.
