Krista Nicole (Casey) McKinnon was born on August 3, 1996 in Osceola, Missouri to Shawn and Cynthia Casey. She grew up in Lowry City, Missouri and graduated from Lakeland High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She married Andre McKinnon and to this union one son, Xavier McKinnon, was born on June 18, 2018.
Krista loved children, family and crafting but most of all she loved her son Xavier. Her life revolved around him. She would take him to the park and the zoo every day she could when the weather cooperated. She loved to help children from her job at Family Facets to working in Children’s Church to taking classes to become a foster parent.
Krista loved her family. She would always make plans to have a family cookout or spend time with her sisters, who were some of her best friends, along with Bailey whom she and Xavier spoke to almost daily. She was a person of great faith and was always kind and helpful in any way she could be. She will be deeply missed and always loved by many.
Krista was preceded in death by her grandmother Della Peterson, uncle Shayne Casey and aunt Naressa Veach.
Krista is survived by her son, Xavier William Taylor McKinnon of Lowry City, Missouri; parents Shawn and Cynthia Casey of Lowry City, Missouri; two sisters, Kaira Wetterow and husband Chase of Sedalia, Missouri, Kaylene Casey and Zachary Baldwin, Kelby Casey and Christy Casey of Lowry City, Missouri; two brothers, Steven Casey and Madison Burrow and Hayden Casey of Lowry City, Missouri; Grandmother, Mary Eslinger and Great-Grandmother Sylvia Parks.
