Lynda loved the simpler things in life such as John Wayne movies, banana cream pie, spending time with her family and friends, serving the community and practicing her faith. Lynda met the love of her life, Eddie Dale Meredith, when she was in the eighth grade. They were married on January 16, 1982 in the Osceola Christian Church. Lynda was truly blessed by her precious daughter Whitney, her son-in-law Chantz Shepherd and her granddaughter Kenadey Ann, who brought joy and happiness to Lynda and Eddie. Lynda is also survived by her mother Jeanne McLemore, her sister Joyce Schmelzle, brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Lynda will be joined in heaven with her father Robert C McLemore, brother Bob McLemore, mother-in-law Lois Meredith, father-in-law Elvin Meredith, and sister-in-law Judy Meredith.
Lynda had a strong desire to give back to her community and church. She volunteered her time as an Osceola School Board member for over 12 years, Treasurer of the Osceola Community Church where she also served as a Sunday School teacher. She also happily helped with Vacation Bible School. The American Cancer Society was a cause which Lynda supported and donated her time.
Lynda truly loved her work at St Clair County State Bank where she was employed for 32 years starting as a teller and serving as Vice President for 30 years. Lynda was valedictorian of her 1978 Osceola High School graduating class. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. However, most important to Lynda was her faith that sustained her through the joys and sorrows of her life.
