Marion L. Mifflin was born September 30, 1928 to Sterling and Alma (Stout) Mifflin in Warrensburg, Missouri. Marion went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2018.
In 1947 he volunteered to serve in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in the South Pacific “mop-up crew” and served until his discharge in 1949.
Marion was a professional driver all his life. He especially enjoyed his 24 years of being a school bus driver at Rock Port and Lakeland. He was ordained a deacon at Harmony Baptist Church of Leeton and served in Rock Port Baptist Church and 1st Baptist Church of Lowry City.
When Marion was not on the road, he was in the boat fishing. HE LOVED TO FISH!! He could sit in the boat all day no matter if the fish were biting or not. The boat was optional.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maradi (Hedges); brother and sister-in-law Galen and Ida Mifflin and a daughter, Kim.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of 28 years; 2 sons, David (Elaine) of Warsaw, Missouri and Dan (Barb) of Kansas City, Missouri; Connie Strope (Rick) of Clinton, Missouri and Tom Motley of Appleton City, Missouri. Marion was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
