Obituary
Iona Belle (Burrow) Moore was born on February 12, 1920 in Osceola, Missouri to Lewis Anderson and Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Burrow. She lived her entire life in the Roscoe community. She was the youngest of 14 children. She went to her eternal rest on March 1, 2010 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Iona was employed for many years at International Shoe Co. in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She was one of the best cooks in the country. Her homemade noodles were always a hit with her family. You never left hungry when you ate a meal at her table. While her health still permitted her, she loved to be outside working in her garden and she tenderly tended to all of her beautiful flowers. Her husband and family always came first to her. She was always busy with some project. She loved the life she had on the farm. She truly was a farmers wife, working right along the side of her husband, Bennie.

Iona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Bennie Moore, her parents, and 12 brothers and sisters; Lee, Beulah, Cecil, Grace, Roy, Ray, Nita, Marion, Emery, Charles(Penney), Clayton Melvin (Mutt) and Virgil (Pone).

She is survived by 1 brother, Stewart (Cass) Burrow of Independence, Missouri, 3 sons, Larry of Osceola, Missouri, Charley and wife Dee of Osceola, Missouri and Melvin of Belton, Missouri, 1 daughter, Liz Burne and husband Mike of Osceola, Missouri, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grand children and a host of nieces, niphews, other family and friends.

She will be sadly missed, but we will remember the happy times and never forget the loving things she did for us.
