Pace, Lillian Lavilla June 29, 1933 - May 24, 2015

Lillian Lavilla Pace, age 81, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri was born Thursday, June 29, 1933 in Blackjack, Missouri the daughter of John Dee and Beulah Edna (Ceat) Mays. She passed from this life at 12:26 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs after a lengthy illness. Lil grew up in Blackjack and was one of the graduates of the El Dorado Springs High School Class of 1951. Shortly after high school, she began employment with the International Shoe Company working there for twenty-five years. Her employment then moved to 3-M Company where she worked another fifteen years until her retirement in 1995. In 1952 she was united in marriage to Frank Jennings and together the couple became parents of one daughter. She later married Bill Pace in 1979 and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. In later years Lil and Bill owned and operated Pace’s Tattered Attic Antiques in Schell City and also refinished furniture. Lil loved flowers of any kind and spent many happy times tending many varieties in her yard. But her greatest love was family, her daughter and grandchildren, siblings, and she also shared a special friendship with her neighbor Ruby. Survivors include her daughter Peggy Westhoven and husband Gene of El Dorado Springs; along with their family, Gina Bachand and husband Kaycee also of El Dorado Springs; and Brent Westhoven and wife Mendi and their children, Sam and Avery of Webb City; step-son, Jim Pace and wife Joyce of Cary, North Carolina; along with their family, Jeneva Pace and son Reese of Columbia, Missouri; Angela Pace of Cary, North Carolina; Mac Pace and wife Trinity and their children, Marley and Edward of Vass, North Carolina; and Katie Blue and husband Aaron and their daughter Macy of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Jeanne Hoagland and husband John of Schell City, Missouri along with their children, Spencer Hoagland of Columbia, Missouri; and Drue Hoagland of Schell City, Missouri; siblings, Darl Mays and wife Bobbie of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; Arleta McCullough and husband Bob of Kansas City, Missouri; and Steve Mays and wife Glenda of Walker, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Aside from her husband Bill, Lil was preceded in death by her parents, three infant brothers; and two sisters, Doris and Donis.
