Nelda Jane Parks passed away peacefully February 4, 2024, at her home in Lowry City, Missouri with her loved ones by her side. She was born April 27, 1943, to Julia Ann (Ferguson) and George Edwin Parks in Clinton, Missouri.
Nelda enjoyed fishing and cruising back roads with friends and family while listening to music and drinking a cold beer. You could often catch her dancing and enjoying life. Nelda took pride in owning her own restaurant. She also took care of the elderly for many years. She had the biggest heart of gold and always loved whatever she was doing or whoever she was helping with her whole heart.
Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild meant the world to her. She had 4 boys: Kenny Collins and wife Sandra of Osceola, Missouri, Larry Lee Collins who preceded her in death, Darrell Collins who also preceded her in death, as well as David Eaton Jr. and wife Christy of Lowry City, Missouri.
Nelda is survived by her two boys and their families which include: BriAnna Kirk of Lowry City, Shelby Eaton of Brownington, Cole Eaton of Lowry City, Stephanie Collins of Lowry City, Kenny Collins Jr. of Osceola, Steven Collins of Lowry City, Skylar Collins of Lowry City, Slater Collins of Osceola, Kenra Collins of Osceola, Lindsay Collins-Cobb of Little Rock, AR, Heather Hale of Independence, and Dustin Collins of Overland Park, KS, as well as 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Julia Ann (Ferguson) and George Edwin Parks, a brother Eldon Parks, 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren Drake Collins and Darrell Collins Jr.
Nelda will be missed and forever loved by many friends and family.
