Glendena Ruth Perkins was born March 20, 1930 in Osceola, Missouri to Glen James and Violet (Cauthon) James. She passed away at her home November 4, 2017 in Osceola, Missouri.
She taught school for 1 year west of Lowry City, Missouri and 1 year for the St Clair County Collector before starting at Missouri Public Service. Toward the end of her career with Missouri Public Services computers were becoming popular. Glendena learned how to use a computer but continued to do everything by hand to make sure the computer was right. Glendena loved to travel. She made over 75 trips with Richards Fun Time Tours. This included almost all 50 states, Canada, England, Ireland, and the Holy land. She also made numerous trips with the St. Clair County State Bank.
She donated over 100 quilts to various organizations including the Lowry City Quilt Guild and the Osceola School Alumni Association Glendena was known as Aunt Neen to all of her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Louis Aiella and William “Bill” Perkins; parents, Glen James and Violet Hoover; a special aunt, Myrtle Berger; sister-in-law, Betty James and niece Jo Ann Boyer. Glendena is survived by her brother, Jimmy James and wife Linda; niece, Linda Bass and husband Steve; nephews, Jimmy James, Jr., Gary James and wife Conni; step-daughter, Pattie Belisle and husband Lowry; step-son Greg Perkins and wife Michelle and many other relatives and friends.
