Karry Lee Phillips was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 15,1958, to Vernon Max Phillips and Lena Fern (Anders) Phillips. He joined God’s choir December 10, 2025 at home in Osceola, Missouri, surrounded by his family.
Karry graduated from Newark High School, Arkansas, 1977. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Arkansas with a BS degree in 1981. During his final year in college, he did an internship at Eastman Kodak, Batesville, Arkansas, which led to employment there, becoming the Senior Systems Analyst. When Eastman Kodak was bought out by Future Fuels, he continued working there for approximately 30 years. After retiring from Eastman, he changed careers to become a Right of Way Agent working in many areas around the country.
August 24, 2012, Karry married Denise Colleen Walker, and they enjoyed a very happy marriage all the rest of his life.
In September of 2021, Karry, Denise and his mother, Fern, moved to Osceola, Missouri to the farm of their dreams
Karry is preceded in death by his father and sister Kathy Ann Miller.
He is survived by his wife, mother, sons, Brian Phillips and Dylan MacKay; daughter, Taylor MacKay (Jacob Small); grandsons, Riley Phillips and Murilo Costa; two nephews, Jacob (Tiffany) Campbell and Daniel (Kelly) Campbell.
Karry was saved at the age of twelve. His mission through his life—first through the Gideons for 40 years, and then as pastor at Osceola Community Church, was to show the people the life they could have through Christ. He spoke the truth always, even if it was hard for people to hear. He loved them that much.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest sending donations to Gideons International. Please send donations to 810 SE Hwy WW Osceola, Missouri 64776.
