Frank Pierce of Flemington, Missouri was born January 22, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank Pierce, Sr. and Mary (Hedrick) Pierce. He passed away March 4, 2013 at the age of 66 years old after a brave battle with lung cancer. Frank served his country in the United States Army as a Seargant First Class from 1965-1971, then again from 1973 to 1979. He earned many honors serving two tours in Vietnam where he received two Purple Hearts. After the military Frank settled in Odessa, Missouri working as an over the road truck driver until his children were raised. Frank then moved back to the Ozarks where he grew up. It was there that Frank served as 3rd vice president of AM-Vets Post 114 as well as president of the Am-Vets riders. Frank was preceded in death by both of his parents, Frank E. Pierce, Sr. and Mary Hendricks-Pierce. He is survived by 2 sons, Frank E. Pierce III, Robert E. Pierce and 1 daughter, Deanna C. Pierce as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
