Edward Jackson Powell, III was born August 25, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward J. Powell, II and Amy Nina (Parkison) Powell. He passed away July 24, 2019 in Independence, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Claudine Hash. This happy union was blessed with 66 years together. Ed proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army.
Ed was especially fond of roller skating, fishing, gardening, bird watching and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Billy, Dick and Bob along with 1 sister, Delores.
Ed is survived by his wife, Claudine, of the home; 3 children, Debra, Ed Jr., and Bob; 3 sisters, Ella, Darlene and Wanda; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
