Doris Maxine Rainbolt, age 86, passed away on March 18, 2014 at her home.. Her daughter, son, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren were present with prayers and loving praise as she went to be with the Lord.
Doris was born on February 7, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas, moved to Missouri soon after, and has been a Missouri resident ever since. Sheloved Ray, her husband, with whom she was married for sixty years until his death. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Doris worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty-four years until she retired. She was the Post Master at Roscoe, Missouri for several years.
She attended the United Methodist Church in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Doris volunteered at her church, Cedar County Memorial Hospital, Blood Mobile, and others. She belonged to TOPS and Roscoe Sewing Circle Club until her illness no longer permitted her to do what she enjoyed.
She lived with her son in a home they bought together when he retired in K.C., Missouri and moved to El Dorado Springs.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Judy Rooks and husband Tim of Smithville, Missouri; Ray Allen (Rocky) Rainbolt, Jr. of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; four grandchildren, Teri Pandino and husband Chris of Lee Summit, Missouri, Keli Flegel and husband Josh of Hermitage, Tennessee, John Higgins and wife Ricki of Kirksville, Missouri, Stephanie Rainbolt of Kansas; and eleven great grandchildren, Zachary Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, Emma Flegel, Jessica Pandino, Anthony Pandino, Truman Pandino, Gabrielle Pandino, Augustine Pandino, Alexa Higgins, John Higgins III, and Lonny Higgins.
Doris will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends but now she is taken under the wings of God’s Angels and then off to Heaven.
