Raymond, Brian L. February 27, 1976 - February 1, 2016

Brian Lee Raymond was born February 27, 1976, in Clinton, Mo. to Leroy and Vicky Jean (Williams) Raymond. He passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, in Springfield, Mo. from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Brian grew up in Osceola, graduating from Osceola High School in 1994. He attended the College of the Ozarks for two years, and spent his adult years in the Springfield, Mo. area where he worked in construction and as a talented tile setter.

Brian married his high school sweetheart Stacey Glick in 1994, and from that marriage Brian’s pride and joy and the forever owner of his heart was born – Sydney Lee Raymond. Brian married longtime friend Jessica Van Voorst in 2004 and blessed Sydney with a wonderful stepmother. At the time of his death, Brian was committed to his loving partner Jessica Owens Kelly and her daughter Ffiona and son Ulysses.

Brian was Daddy, Son, Big Brother, Beloved Uncle, Treasured Grandson, Fun-loving Nephew and Cousin and Forever Friend. He never knew a stranger. He was the life of the party and could always be counted on for a good time. He was a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed riding horses and he loved that Harley. Brian took great pride in keeping that big body in shape and looking good – from his tattoos to his beard to his boots. And, we loved that handsome man for it. There never was and never will be another one like him. Brian worked hard, played hard and loved even harder. So many were blessed to have felt that love and devotion.

Brian was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Norma Jean Raymond; uncle, Robert Williams; cousins, Deidre and Tyler Raymond and Amanda Raymond.

He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Raymond, Springfield; parents, Leroy and Vicky Raymond, Osceola; sister, Christy and brother-in-law, Mickey, two nephews, Andrew and Evan, and one niece, Elizabeth, Lee’s Summit; paternal grandfather, W.T. Raymond, Osceola; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Joann Williams, Osceola; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and many, many friends.

“Truth is, every man dies, but not every man lives.” Brian lived. His love for life, bigger than life personality and unwavering love for family and friends will be greatly missed. We will love you forever, JuJu!
