Loless Janiece Roberts passed away April 16, 2016 at her home at the age of 91. She was born November 13, 1924 in Roscoe, Missouri. She was the daughter of William and Della L. Coleman. She was one of five children.
Her father was a farmer and preacher. His work took the family for a brief time to Colorado, but they soon returned to the Roscoe area. Loless graduated from high school in Roscoe. She was a good baseball player and loved to play guitar and sing.
Loless was united in marriage to Melvin Dean Roberts. They raised one son, Roger (Boots) Roberts. The couple enjoyed traveling, vacationing and spending time with family and friends. Dean was a Shriner and Loless was a member of the Eastern Star.
They spent many hours entertaining friends in their home and many days on the road on their Harley Davidson. Loless had ridden to each of the continental 48 states on the back of a bike and had rocks in her collection to prove it.
She retired from the Western Electric in Lees Summit, Missouri. She also worked in the dry cleaning business that she and her husband Dean owned. Her personal specialty was the care and cleaning of silks.
Loless was preceded in death by her parents, William and Della Coleman; her brothers, Manuel, Melvin and Clarence Coleman; her sister Loree and her son Roger.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Roberts of Osceola, Missouri; her grandchildren, Shelly and husband Kevin Larsen of Colorado, Kress Roberts and wife Cathy of Osceola, Missouri; great grandchildren Leslie Perkins of Kansas and Ashley Roberts of Kansas; great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
