Christopher Allen Rodabaugh, age 59, of Osceola, passed away after a second short bout with cancer Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his daughter’s home in El Dorado Springs. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born September 18, 1961 in Humansville to Tom and Jo Susan Rodabaugh of Osceola. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 1979. He was active in FFA and baseball and known for his sense of humor.
Chris later spent countless hours working on and racing stock cars. He accomplished a lot on the track and later as Crew Chief for his grandson, Jaren Powrie. Chris had endless knowledge when it came to fixing cars, tending his garden, catching fish and vast trivia.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Curtis Lee Rodabaugh; his paternal grandparents, Ed and Florence Rodabaugh; his maternal grandparents, Dan and Ivonne Neuenschwander and his loyal companions Buddy and Sugar.
Chris is survived by his wife Shelly Rodabaugh of Nevada; his daughters Regina Penington (Anthony) of El Dorado Springs, Rachelle Rodabaugh of Oklahoma City; his step-daughters Amy Powrie of Nevada and Elaine Powrie of Olathe. Chris also leaves behind eight grandchildren of which he was very proud of including Jaren Powrie, Carter Powrie, Preston Hatcher, Silas Hatcher, Avery Rodabaugh, Jaylen Rodabaugh, Camdynn Penington and his only granddaughter, Scarlett Penington. Chris also left behind his parents, Tom and Jo Susan Rodabaugh, his brother Danny (Patrice) Rodabaugh as well as a niece, a nephew, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and countless friends to mourn his passing.
