Sanders, Frank James May 23, 1945 - September 16, 2012

Frank James Sanders was born May 23, 1945 in Pueblo, Colorado to Frank H. and Josephine (Fitzpatrick) Sanders. He passed away September 16, 2012 at his home in Collins, Missouri. His early life was spent in Redwing, Colorado and he graduated from high school in Walsenburg, Colorado. After graduation, he worked on a ranch before entering the Army in 1965. Frank completed his Army tour in 1967. Frank returned to Colorado and worked a Singing River Ranch. While he was ranching, his children, Jimmie and Cindy were born. In 1971 he moved with his family to Bolivar, Missouri. There he engaged in farming, worked for Hammonds and later worked for Tracker Marine retiring in 2006. On September 16, 2000 Frank was united in marriage to Carol M. McDaniel. They were blessed with exactly twelve very happy years. In Frank’s later years he loved to raise Old English Bantams and registered Quarter Horses. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Jimmie. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Carol of the home, his daughter, Cindy Voskamp and husband, Bill, his mother, Josephine Sanders, one sister, Mrs. Patsy Myers and husband Duane, two stepsons, John (Diana) Layne and Dustin Layne, one granddaughter, Ariel Dixon, one step granddaughter, Estelle Layne, an especially beloved nephew, Dayle Myers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
