Margaret Marie (Gibbs) Smith was born on January 3, 1919, in El Dorado Springs, Missouri to Hattie (Thompson) and Charley Gibbs. She was the oldest of four children, Lester, Glen, and Donald. She passed away April 2, 2023, at 104 years old.
On December 11, 1936, Margaret was united in marriage to Carl Smith and to this union three children were born: Valerie, Sandra, and Sonny.
Margaret is survived by her children: Sandra O’Neal and Sonny Smith, one ex-daughter-in-law Lois Smith, 5 grandchildren: Rick O’Neal, Dawn Scruby, Dana Anderson, Gina and Jody Smith, 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, husband Carl, daughter Valerie Beaty, grandson Larry Beaty and son-in-law Gerald O’Neal.
Margaret was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
