Sandra Lee Smith (Morgan) born January 22, 1948 passed away on September 6, 2024 at her home on Truman Lake, MO. Preceded in death by parents Robert and LaVada Morgan, husband Franklin G. Smith III, and son Shane Smith. The mother of DeAmbra Airrington of Oak Grove, MO, Melody Queenan of Olathe, KS, and Alissa Chumley of San Diego, CA. Sandra leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Master Gardener and Red Hatter, Sandra was full of sassiness throughout her life. She loved to cook for everyone and anyone. Her captive taste testers included Marion-Merrell Dow, Truman Lake Manor, and the Boys Scout Camp. A good time for her included looking through cookbooks and typing up family recipes.
A strong woman of the 1960’s, who didn’t follow anyone else’s path or ideas, Sandra raised three independent, strong girls before meeting and marrying Frank Smith (aka Butchie) April 25, 1977. They shared many fishing adventures, locally, out of state, and internationally. She will always be dearly loved and dearly missed.
