Hazel Elaine Sole (Rainee) was born on January 29, 1950, and went to live with foster parents and siblings in Washington state. She was raised on a farm where she worked hard as a young girl picking prunes and working in the orchards. She later went on to graduate High School in 1968 and then attended college for nursing and became an R.N. after graduation.

She met her husband Paul at the hospital where she worked. He was an X-Ray technician and couldn’t keep his eyes off my momma! She was married to Paul Sole in 1970, soon after a son was born, Jason Sole. She and her family moved to California where she was an R.N. at a hospital where she worked pediatrics for many years, helping to bring a new life into this world.

She loved to be outdoors, working in the garden, anything to do with her grandbabies was her favorite hobby! She was an awesome grandma and great grandma to her grandbabies! Her hearing the words “GiGi!!” would always bring a smile of joy to her face.

One of her favorite memories is how she taught her grandbabies to drive her big old 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood (the boat) at Brush Creek. Round and round They’d go! She always told me they were all very good drivers.

Thanksgiving and Christmas were always very special to her, a time where all of her babies were together under one roof enjoying each others company and love. She was very proud of all her grandbabies and all of their accomplishments, they made her a very proud grandma.

She attended church on occasion as her health limited her travel, but when she did make it, she attended the Osceola First Assembly of God, where Pastor Danny would always razz her about her attendance and tell her how glad he was to see her with a smile and hug. She is with her Savior now and with her husband as she always wanted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, grandparents, and her husband Paul.

She is survived by her son Jason Sole and wife Kimberly, grandbabies: Celeste Renee, James Paul, Vivian Raylene, Kobe Jesse, and Madison Lynn. Great-grandbabies Honey Grace, Addison Rain, Cohen Dean, and Alicia Celeste. She loved them all with her entire heart and will be watching over them forever.

She will be greatly missed…

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hazel Sole memorial fund in care of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
