Spurgeon, Jerry January 15, 1938 - December 22, 2019

Jerry Dale Spurgeon was born January 15, 1938 in Lowry City, Missouri to William E. Spurgeon and Laura Pearl (Clark) Spurgeon.  He passed peacefully at the family home in Sedalia, Missouri surrounded by family December 22, 2019.

He loved the outdoors and was happiest when he had a fishing pole in his hands.  Jerry was an avid hunter; his favorite game being pheasant, deer, turkey and squirrel.  On days in between seasons he found it very peaceful to take a walk through the woods and going mushroom hunting as he did so.  At home he enjoyed watching Sunday night football and always cheered for the Chiefs.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Spurgeon.  He is survived by 1 son, Curtis Spurgeon and wife Patricia Bankson-Spurgeon; 1 daughter, Teresa Hughes; 5 grandchildren, Jason Spurgeon, Tiffany     Jefferson, Scottie Hughes, Jessica Hughes and Marigrace Heinze along with 9 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his loving companion of the last 14 years, Eva Wilson.
