Violet Leetia Sutton passed away on January 4, 2010 in Osceola, Missouri. She was born on August 30, 1917 in Osceola, Missouri to Treavy Morgan and Myrtle Broyles Morgan. She also graduated from Osceola High School.
Violet met and married James (Doc) Sutton on June 5, 1944. There were no children by this marriage.
Violet and Doc lived in the Kansas City area where they owned a filling station. They later moved and bought a filling station at Walker Corner. Doc and Violet sold out and moved to Osceola, where they had lived until their passing.
Violet was saved and baptized and a member of the Osceola Presbyterian church. Violet Sutton was a 92 year old lady from the neck down. From the neck up she was as sharp as a tack. If her body would have lasted as long as her brain she would be sitting out there looking at us. She always said in her mind she was 19 years old!!
She was preceded in death by her husband James Sutton on March 2, 2003; Her father Trevy Morgan on August 1, 1980; her mother Myrtle Morgan in August of 1989; her two brothers Clarence Morgan on September 9, 1989 and Walter Morgan on January 8, 1977 and several nephew
Violet is survived by two nieces Mae Morgan and Phylis Miller of Osceola; three nephews, Billie Morgan of Collins, Larry Morgan of Osceola and Floyd Morgan of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and a host of great and great-great nephews and nieces.
She will surely be missed by all.
