Deborah Ann Thomas, also known as Boss Lady, was born January 28, 1953, in Osceola, Missouri to Kermit and Ruth (Nichols) Dempsey. She lost her battle with cancer and was reunited with her husband Wino on January 4, 2024, with her daughter Twila, and granddaughter Kimberly by her side.
She spent most of her life in the Osceola and Lowry City areas. She was a graduate of Osceola High School. She had her beautiful baby girl Twila, on February 19, 1973. She married her soulmate Wino, on June 29, 1973. She cut her hair and had a beauty shop in Osceola from around 1985 to 1998. On March 29, 1999, Debbie started working and spent most of her working years at Schiebers Cheese and Clearfield. On April 29, 2016, Debbie retired from Schiebers. The remainder of her life she spent working the farm with Wino. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids, and great grandkids. She also enjoyed going to the bar with Wino and having a few. She lost her loving husband June 6, 2018, to a horrible farming accident. In 2019, we found out her cancer had returned. She fought the cancer the best she could. She was able to stay home until July 2022. For the remainder of her time she resided at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation where she became close to so many of the staff. She claimed many of them as her granddaughters.
She will be deeply missed by so many. Fly high grandma. You are finally reunited with grandpa. Don’t worry about mom, we have her from here. You will never be forgotten. I love you with all my heart Nana. Love, Kimberly.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents: Kermit and Ruth Dempsey, loving husband Wino, sister Donna Terry, niece Janice Terry, Nephew Joe Lee Drake, and great granddaughter Carmen Marie.
She is survived by sisters and brother Sharon, Bonnie, Carol Jones, and James. January 8, 2024 at 1:06 pmSo sorry to learn of your loss.
Although Debbie was married to my cousin Larry and I didn’t know her very well, I do know she was very well thought of. She was a great and caring grandmother and mother and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to all the family.
