Eric Lynn Thomas also known as ET was born November 6, 1978 in El Dorado Springs Hospital. He was born to Gary Thomas and Linda Nall Thomas.
Eric is survived by his father Gary and stepmother Paula Thomas, his mother Linda and stepfather Dave Brubaker, two older brothers Brian Thomas and Brent Thomas.
Eric grew up in the Roscoe and Osceola areas. In his adolescent years he moved all around the states for his mother’s job. As a young child he grew up in the Pentecostal Church. Eric was involved in many things as a child like the Royal Rangers. When Eric was in his teen years he moved back to Osceola and you were able to recognize him by his 1970’s funeral hearse. High school was not for Eric, he dropped out and later earned his GED and went on to trade school to become a master electrician.
Eric was blessed with his first son Thorn in 1999. Eric started work in Harrisonville where he met Yessenia. They started dating April 11, 2000. Eric’s second son Kylan Thomas was born in 2004. Then later he had his Daughter Trystin Thomas in 2006. Eric married Yessenia on October 22, 2010. Eric was a proclaimed Seventh-day Adventist even though he was never baptized. Although Eric was a master electrician who owned his own business, his true passion was Jeep fabrication. He bought his first Jeep in 2011 and customized it to make it his dream vehicle. Eric had a great love of the outdoors, always going on fly fishing trips with many of his friends and his older brother Brian. Eric also loved dragging his wife and kids out of the house and taking them on small survival trips. Eric enjoyed the small moments like being outside with the ones he loved most. It could be just sitting outside and talking or outside shooting his guns or him letting you work on his Jeep with him. One of Eric’s favorite things to do was listen to all of his favorite uncle’s stories or go on bike rides with his loving wife and his close friends. There is so much to be said about Eric; he was loved by many and a great friend. He was a loving husband, father, son, and friend.

December 11, 2023 at 5:55 amLove you dad wish I could have said it in person I know you and I never had a good relationship, but we all cared for you out of all the things I can say I can say this thank you for all the hard lessons you taught me I might not have understood it then I still don’t understand them all. There are a few things I did learn though you taught me the morals a man should have you taught me that a man needs to stand up for his family an protect them you taught me on how to cherish friends. I wish we could have put all the bullshit behind us and start anew. But that will have to wait till the next life on when we see each other again I know none of this means nothing right now and I should have said it in person but it’s too late for that if there was a way for me to get a hold of you and my chosen brother I would do it in a heartbeat. Just know that you have nothing to worry about I will get us all under control and do the things that you wanted. rest in peace
