Dorothy B. Timmerman was born September 8, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away at her home, June 6, 2014, in Perry, Oklahoma after a short and brave fight with cancer. She married William L. Timmerman on November 1, 1944. He preceded her in death in February in 1996. Dorothy leaves three children, son Bill of Washington state, daughter and spouses, Marcella and Colin Lewellen of Oklahoma and Michelle & Joe Gonzales of California. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great grandchildren, brother in-law and sister in-law, Ray and Jane Timmerman of Collins, MO; seven sisters and 3 brothers (of her family of 17 siblings), numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dorothy lived in the Osceola area for a number of years where she volunteered and enjoyed working at the Food Banc, hospital and Alice’s Closet. She moved to Oklahoma in 2000 to be closer to her daughter and family after the passing of her husband. We will miss her “Hoosier” accent which brought a smile to our faces and made us laugh and who forget her great cooking. She doted and loved her grand and great grand kids and they likewise. She will be missed by all who knew her and was ready to join her Heavenly Father and other family and friends in heaven.
