Wheeler, Thomas G. August 26, 1933 - April 25, 2014

Thomas Glen Wheeler was born August 26, 1933 to John Wesley and Neva (Burrow) Wheeler at their home at Osceola, MO. He was a lifelong resident of Osceola, Tom passed away April 25, 2014 at his home.

Tom is most remembered for raising his beloved Chester White hogs. From the time that he purchased his first pig when he was 14 years old, he was hooked on raising pigs and thoroughly enjoyed the show circuit. He enjoyed teaching his girls and grandchildren to show as well.

Tom honorably served his country in Korea. Upon his return from service he married Kay Elizabeth Bucklinger. To this union three girls were born, Glenda, Debbie and Melody. Tom and Kay divorced in 1980. In 1982 Tom married Sharon Woods and welcomed her daughter, Kellie into their home.

He continued to farm and show his pigs across many states for 60 years. He received many honors from the state of Missouri and Ozark Empire Fair for his dedication.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Neva Wheeler, his sisters, Betty June Wheeler, Artalee Wheeler Harris and three special brothers in-law, Charlie Brown, Morran Harris and Bob Gardner.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home, his daughters, Glenda Wheeler (Dave) Debbie McSperitt (Victor Witt), Melody Greiner (David) and Kellie Bliss, sisters, Zada Brown and Bonny Gardner, brother, Burleigh (Doris) Wheeler; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dave) Matsko, Lewis (Jenna) Thomas, Cody (Stephanie) Chiles, Steven (Stephanie) McSperitt, Kressie McSperitt, Dustin Greiner, Doran Bliss, Chloe Bliss and Mabri Bliss and 6 great grandchildren, Joey, John Wesley, Jonathan, Katie, Gunner and Rayne, other relatives and many friends.
