James M. Willis was born February 12, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to Milton C. and Helen A. (Norval) Willis. He passed away on April 1, 2017 at his home near Osceola, Missouri.
Jim spent his early years growing up in the country near Hartville, Missouri. He served his country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He was stationed at Nike Hercules Missile Defense Site in Alaska. He married Patsy Conner on November 2, 1963. He and Pat moved to rural St. Clair County in 1977 where he enjoyed a simple country life.
He was a private person, but he had some very close friends. When he made a friend it was for good. He loved to play old time country music and enjoyed many get togethers with his musical friends over the years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister LaVeda. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Patsy; brother, David Willis; their children and grandchildren; 2 nieces, Judy Dyke and her husband Charles and Carol Wharton; many cousins, other relatives and many friends.
