Alice Irene Wilson was born July 25, 1938 to F. E. and Alice (Roberts) Howerton in Osceola, Missouri. She passed away November 20, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Irene graduated from Osceola High School in 1956. She married Charlie Wilson June 20, 1959. Irene worked for the Propane Company from 1966 to 1980. She worked in the county courthouse as the treasurer from 1982 to 1990 and the collector from 1990 to 2001 and retired from there. After retirement she owned and operated a used furniture store from 2007 to 2010
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.E. and Alice Howerton; husband, Charles Wilson; sister, Glenda Howerton and brothers, William and Danny Howerton.
Irene is survived by her children, Mike (Krista) Wilson, Steve (Kim) Wilson and Wendie (Kevin) Wade; grandchildren, Brock (Victora) Wilson, Alex (Amanda) Wilson, Karson (Brendon) Stinson, Kaden Wilson, Tyler (Hayli) Wade, Garrett (Rachel) Wade and Colt Wade; great grandchildren, Emery and Sophie Wilson, Brody and Brenli Wade and Lincoln Wade; brothers, Bob (Anna Mae) Howerton, Richard (Janice) Howerton and Tom Howerton; brother-in-law, Lonnie (Jackie) Wilson, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.

I hate to lose her but this year has been bad for her and I am grateful she doesn’t have to suffer any more. She was a fine person and will be missed.

I will forever be grateful to her for the love and friendship she and her husband extended to both my parents. She will indeed be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I will truly miss her, but she has had some rough times lately and I’m glad she is free of her struggles. My condolences for your loss, she was a great lady. I like to imagine Charlie welcoming her with open arms, both with big smiles!
