Billy Dee Wood III, son of Billy and Teresa Wood, brother of Brandon and Breanna Wood and father of Roma Wood was born on February 27, 1989 in Osceola, Missouri. He passed away Tuesday morning May 18, 2021.

 

Billy attended Osceola High School where he graduated from in 2007. Billy’s first love was basketball which he played throughout his school years and had the opportunity to lead Osceola boys’ basketball team to state for the first time.

 

Billy shared his love of basketball with the most important person in his life, his daughter Roma. He loved watching her play and shooting hoops with her in the driveway. Billy also enjoyed spending time working out, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his many friends and family. He took pride in running the cattle farm with his dad, Billy.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Billy Dee Wood I and Georgia Lee Pack.

 

Billy is Survived by his parents Billy and Teresa Wood, brother Brandon Wood, sister Breanna Wood, and daughter Roma Wood. As well as his companion Niki Elliott, grandparents Joan and Jim Deatherage, Frances Wood, and Dorothy and Richard Powell, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

    So sorry for your loss. Billy and the entire Wood family are some of the nicest people we have known. I was fortunate enough to coach Billy when he was younger in AAU basketball and he was nothing but a total joy to be around. His smile always made me a happier person.
