Via and Robert LeRoy Wood married on the 12th of November, 1976, in Osceola where they promised their love and devotion for each other “Until the Twelfth of Never.” Via had a son, Bradley Ozell Holland, from a previous marriage and LeRoy raised Brad as his own son.
Via became a Beautician in 1961 in Paducah. She worked for Clarice’s Beauty Salon after moving to Osceola, Missouri in 1973 for several years. She later opened her own shop, Via’s New Image Salon, across from the Osceola post office. Via changed careers in 1981 to be a Nurse’s Aid at Sac-Osage Hospital and other facilities in Paducah, Kentucky. Both were successful careers yielding many clients, patients, and friends who loved her greatly.
Via loved people and NEVER met a stranger. Her strong southern accent and her mere presence always lit up a room. Via was loved by many people and will be sorely missed. She will always be our Valentine.
