James Edward Wyatt was born on January 8, 1936 in Collins, MO, the only child of Ossie and Ida (Horsman) Wyatt and passed away October 5, 2012 at the Sac Osage Hospital in Osceola, MO. He spent his entire life living at home in and around the Gerster area. From a young age his greatest love was being outdoors hunting and fishing. He was known as Jimmy, Jimbo or bicycle boy by family, friends, and people of the community. Throughout his life he could be found riding his bicycle almost anywhere in St. Clair County. Jimmy worked at odd jobs on farms around the community. He usually could be found fishing in his favorite holes along his beloved Weaubleau Creek or hunting squirrels in the area. Jimmy was a local character that will be missed by those in the community that he used to ride his bicycle to visit. He was preceded in death by his father, Ossie, mother, Ida, several uncles and aunts from both the Wyatt and Horsman families. Jimmy is survived by several uncles and aunts from both the Wyatt and Horsman families, several cousins, other relatives and friends. We will forever miss his greatest conversational statement “Yup” and the clumping of his boots across our floors.
