Cheryl Rowena Berry formerly Myers died unexpectedly at her home in Jerico Springs, Mo., on Saturday evening at the age of 69 years 11 months.
Cheryl is survived by her mother Anna Lee Myers of Jerico Springs, Mo. Her children are Steven Berry and wife, Parkville, Mo., Brett Berry and wife, Liberal, Mo. and Daniela Thornton and husband of Diamond, Mo. Her brother George D. Myers, Jr and wife, Joplin, Mo. Lee Ann Boyd and husband Jerico Springs, Mo., and brother Leland Myers and wife of Kansas City, Mo. She is preceded in death by her husband Denzil Berry and infant son Kurt Berry.
Cheryl was born on November 22, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to George and Anna Lee Myers. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1964. She married her sweetheart, Denzil Berry, in May 16, 1966. Over several years the couple welcomed 4 children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Cheryl was accomplished and often taught others. She was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved Jesus and who was passionate about changing the world to be a better place. She was an active and dedicated member of The Victorious Living Church in Filly, MO and often volunteered to help others. Cheryl was much loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 20th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. The family would like to thank caregivers/hospital staff/etc. for their efforts/care/dedication.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to be given to The Victorious Living Church Widow’s Fund. In care of the Sheldon Funeral Home.
