Grace Elsie Van Sickel was born May 19, 1924 to Frederick Alfred and Sara Ellen Williams in Menlo, Kansas. She passed away October 16, 2016 peacefull at her home surrounded by family.
On October 2, 1943 Grace married William (Bill) Ephraim Van Sickel in Jennings, Kansas. Together they shared 59 years of marriage. In the fall of 1952 the family moved to the farm in Osceola where their oldest daughter started first grade with Mrs. George. A devout Christian and member of Vista Baptist Church, Grace was a true reflection of her name, a sweet spirit with quiet strength. Grace enjoyed gardening, canning, and sewing. Most of all she loved spending time with each of her children and grandchildren.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; brothers, Alfred Williams, Frederick Williams, Kenneth Williams, Wendel Williams and Curtis Williams; sisters, Frances Imel and Cecil Jordan; grandson Justin Short; granddaughter Ashley Van Sickel and great grandson Elliott Baldelli.
She is survived by her brother Lester and wife Elinor Williams of Denver, Colorado; her children Judy and husband Dave Stewart of Osceola, Missouri, Julie and husband Gerald Swanson of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeanie Van Sickel of Nampa, Idaho, Billy and wife Judi Van Sickel of Ozark, Missouri, June Kay Mackey of Collins, Missouri, Joyce and husband Ernie Martin of Graybull, Wyoming, Janie and husband Clay Fulwider of Deepwater, Missouri and Jill and husband Ted Short of Deepwater, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
