Betty June Wiley James passed away June 9, 2026, at her home in St. Clair County.
Betty was born in Wright City, Oklahoma, on June 7, 1940, to Lester and Ruth Brooks Wiley.
She lived her younger years between Wright City and Sweet Home, Oregon.
She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1958, and married Wallace Lee James August 8, 1958. To this union three children were born; Larry, Sherry, and Travis.
Betty was a homemaker most of her life in Sweet Home, until moving to Pleasant Hill, Missouri in 1979, where she began working at A.D. Mohr Greenhouse in Pleasant Hill, until her retirement in 1997. When her and her husband moved to southern St. Clair County, near Osceola, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Ruth Wiley, and husband, Wallace Lee.
Betty is survived by her three children, Larry (Kim) James of Sweet Home, Oregon, Sherry James, of Sweet Home, Oregon, and Travis James, Osceola, Missouri; brother, Cecil (Glenda) Wiley, Hermitage, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Ray (Pat) James, Scio, Oregon, Larry Rex James, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sister-in-law, Carol Small, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
