Edra Lougene Bourland was born November 2, 1931 near Hume, Missouri to Ralph and Mildred Irene (O’Rear) Mullies. She passed away at her home in Lowry City, Missouri August 19, 2020.
She graduated from Rich Hill High School in Rich Hill, Missouri in 1949 and attended and graduated from Kansas City Secretarial School in Kansas City, Missouri. Edna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Arthur Edward Bourland November 25, 1950. When his health began to fail she was his caretaker and devoted companion until his death June 3, 2011.
Edra worked for Credit Services Company in Kansas City, Missouri for 9 years and Kock Supplies. She and her family moved to Lowry City, Missouri where Edra worked for the City of Lowry City as the City Clerk and collector for some time. In 1968 she became employed with St. Clair County State Bank in Lowry City, Missouri where she worked for 31 years until her retirement in June 1999.
She was saved at an early age and lived a constistant and faithful Christian life. Edra attended the Church of God (Holiness) for many years as long as her health permitted. She was very proud of her family and her greatest desire was that each of them meet their dad, grandpa and great-grandpa in heaven.
Edra was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Carl and Ted Mullies. She is survived by 2 sons, Duane Bourland of Lowry City, Missouri and Bryan Bourland and wife Deborah of Lowry City, Missouri; 1 brother, David Mullies and wife Debby of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Sonja and Clay Burton of Montrose, Missouri, Damien Bourland of Deepwater, Missouri, Shane Bourland of Wichita, Kansas, Misty Bourland of Lowry City, Missouri, Seth Bourland of Lowry City, Missour, Tracy Waitley of and Geoff Golden of Lincoln, Missouri; 6 great-grandchildren along with other relatives and many friends.
