Richard Arlen Burton was born September 5, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to William J. Burton and Mildred Martin Burton. He passed away October 27, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was a Marin veteran of the Korean Conflict. Richard worked for 25 years as a Kansas City Fire Fighter retiring as a captain.
Richard was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Jackson Burton in March of 1987 and 2 sisters Bonnie Jean Hertado and Fayetta Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Dee, of the home; 1 sister, Joyce Williams of Kansas City, MO; 2 daughters, Kathy (Steve) Webb of Lowry City, Mo and Arlene (Rodney) Venerable of Kansas City, Mo; 2 step-children, Deanna (Galen) Beasley of Independence, Missouri and Rick (Tanya) Haworth of Osceola, Mo; 12 grandchildren, Shelley (Rick) Ferguson, Mickey (John) Szudarski, Kerry Triska (Neil), Richard Burton, Michael Burton, Natasha Burton, Michael Beasley, Bradley Beasley, Stephanie (David) Shaw, Vicki Lynn Haworth, Elizabeth Haworth, Sam (John) Woods, Codi Woods; 19 great-grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
